My name is Holiday Kirk.
I'm 33 years old and live in Los Angeles, California. I am the founder of The Nu Metal Agenda and run the @numetal_moment suite of social media accounts.
The War of Art by American Head Charge is my favorite album of all time.
I've written on my admiration for this album at length but in short I believe it to be the strongest metal record of the 2000s and one of the greatest albums ever made.
After several years off the grid their lead singer, Cameron Heacock, has resurfaced in Los Angeles. He is homeless and addicted to fentanyl.
American Head Charge are as legendary for their bad luck as they are their music. A debut album dropped right before 9/11, a band dropped from their label not long after, two of their members have died, many more have left. It almost seems right that their singer would have fallen on such hard times. Maybe this is the way it is meant to be?
No.
Absolutely not. This is not how their story ends. We are going to find Cameron and offer to help him in any way we possibly can. We are going to put a happy ending on a sad story. I've set up this website as a tip line for anyone that may know more than I do about Cameron's whereabouts. Please leave any and all information you may have in the form below.
If you can't assist in the search you're more than welcome to leave a message for Cam by signing our guestbook below. I will pass on any kind words once he is found or just leave an email address to receive updates:
"Can I donate money?"
Right now the priority is to find Cameron and talk. If he is ready and willing to accept our help we will come up with a plan that may involve donations and the website will be updated accordingly.
"What will you do once he's found?"
Just talk. Let him know there are people who care about him. Buy him a hot meal and a cell phone so we can stay in touch.
"What if he doesn't want our help?"
Then we tried. We did all we could. We didn't just accept this state of affairs, we gave it our best. That matters.
"I can't find The War of Art on streaming, how can I listen to it?"
In yet another indignity forced upon this band their magnum opus is not available to stream in the United States. I don't know why, it certainly was, but now it isn't. You can find it on YouTube or buy a CD for now. Hopefully this is something else we can fix while we're at it.

I have a responsibility to do this. I live in downtown Los Angeles, at any given moment he could be minutes away from me. If we find him and he's in Skid Row or MacArthur Park I could be there within the hour. But I can't do it alone. I need your help. Let's come together and turn this situation into something beautiful.

A very special thank you to Marco Mottura for donating the money I needed to start this website
